Gamers-Corps has always stood for Community, and always will. Today, we are asking Gamers everywhere to help honor a fellow Gamer, a true Kings of War Legend, Jesse Cornwell. All funds raised will be donated in his name to the Cancer Research Institute. Please consider making a donation. A little goes a long way!
Jesse Cornwell was a long time Kings of War player who just lost a long battle with cancer. A southern West Virginia resident, he hosted tournaments and attended as many as he could. He was a teacher who loved his students, frequently showing them games and getting involved in their lives. In addition, he worked as a Pathfinder for Mantic, spreading the word of their games every chance he could. He stared in many community driven videos and podcasts, notably co-hosting the Master Crafted Gaming channel on YouTube.
Jesse represented the absolute best of us. A giant personality that lit up every room he was in. He was a beacon for laughter and fun. His absolute favorite thing was getting together with friends over a game.
What we do is simple. We collect miniatures, build armies, and play games. Jesse made it much more than that. Always welcoming new players, always making sure the people around him were having fun. It sounds like something we should all do...but it's something he never FAILED to do.
Kings of War players all over the world will certainly miss the man and the impact he's had on the game. Please consider making a donation to the Cancer Research Institute in his memory so that more can be done to help save the wonderful souls like Jesse battling against cancer.
All donations will go to the Cancer Research Institute in Jesse's name. To honor him even more, we will dedicate the upcoming Kings of War Tournament (Kings of Baltimore Fee Fi Four Fum) on February 20th in his name. Rest easy, Jesse. You are missed and always will be. Until the next time we see you, Game On!
