Basic Tournament Guidance:
Prep Time: 10am
Start Time: 11am
End Time: 8pm
Players are responsible for bringing all of the game components they need to play a game of Star Wars: Armada. This includes all ship and squadron models, bases, pegs, ship cards, squadron cards, ship tokens, obstacles, upgrade cards, objective cards, and tokens. In addition, they must bring a damage deck, sufficient dice for attack rolls, a maneuver tool, and a range ruler. When a fleet list is required, players should bring a completed list or arrive at the venue early to fill one out.
Each player must build one fleet to use in a tournament. A fleet cannot exceed 400 points, though it may contain fewer than 400 points. A player may choose to field a Rebel, Imperial fleet, Separatist or Republic. Factions can NOT be mixed. A player’s fleet cannot contain more than 134 points worth of squadrons. A fleet must also include a single commander and one objective card from each non-campaign category. Players must use the same fleet for the duration of the tournament.
Some events require players to submit a fleet list, including their name and all associated upgrade cards, their commander card, and total fleet points to the organizer before the start of the tournament. If a player uses a ship, squadron, or upgrade card with the same name and fleet points as a different component available, he or she must uniquely identify that card. This can be done by including the full name of the product in which the card appeared or the card type (if there are not two cards with the same name of the same card type) in parenthesis. A player can ask a leader for specific instructions if they are unsure of the best method to uniquely identify a card.
Players are responsible for bringing all of the game components they need to play a game of STAR WARS: LEGION. This includes their army, order tokens for each unit, command hand, sufficient dice for attack and defense rolls, movement tools, and a range ruler. In addition, players must bring 12 unique objective, deployment, and condition battle cards, four of each type. When an army list is required, players should bring a completed list or arrive at the venue early to fill one out. Players should fill out an extra copy of their list to present to their opponents. This extra copy should not include command cards or battle cards.
Each player must build one army to use in a tournament. Standard Play typically uses the armybuilding rules in the STAR WARS: LEGION Rules Reference, but occasionally an Event Outline will provide alternative army-building rules. For typical Standard Play events, an army cannot exceed 800 points, though it may contain fewer than 800 points. A player’s army must contain miniatures from only one faction unless an effect allows him or her to do otherwise. A player’s army must also include the appropriate number of units of each rank, as listed in the STAR WARS: LEGION Rules Reference. Each player must also build a command hand of seven command cards. A player must include two 1-pip cards, two 2-pip cards, and two 3-pip cards in their command hand. A player cannot include more than one copy of a command card. If a player includes a unique character’s command card, their army must contain that character. Each player must include the “Standing Orders” command card as their seventh command card. Some events may require alternative army-building rules, as described in each event’s Event Outline. Players must use the same army and command hand for the duration of the tournament.
Players are responsible for bringing all of the game components required to play a game of X-Wing. This includes all ship miniatures, plastic bases, pegs, ship cards, ship bases, upgrade cards, tokens, charges, and markers. In addition, they must bring a damage deck, sufficient dice for attack and defense rolls, a full set of maneuver templates, and a range ruler. When a squad list is required, players should bring a completed list (with half points noted for each ship) or arrive at the venue early to fill one out.
Each player must build one squad to use in a tournament. A squad cannot exceed 200 points, though it may contain fewer than 200 points. A legal squad list contains between 2 and 8 ships from a single faction. Each player must include exactly three unique obstacles of their choice in their squad. Players must select these obstacles from the asteroids and debris clouds available from official X-Wing products, including first edition products (except those found in Epic expansions). A player may not select two of the same obstacle. Players must use the same squad and obstacles for the duration of the tournament.
